INTRODUCTION TO D'HAR

So, I have decided, because it sounds like the funnest and most interesting thing to do, to run my OTHER game world, and not Macinar. I will be running D'har and the Ghostlands! Allow me to explain.

The day the Gods left, the planes lost their borders. What once had structure, became a singularity of chaos called “The Shattering”. The worlds folded in on themselves, and all that was left was D'har.

D'har is a wasteland of a world. 95% of it's land surface is hellish desert, known as The Ghostlands. The entirety of the outer sea is boiling death. The sky is full of burning suns, like stars on a blanket of scarlet. The nights are freezing and pitch black with no moon. There are no deities. They have been gone for a great many years now. It is believed that Magic is what caused “The Shattering” and has been forbidden. The closest things to Gods known are the God Kings that rule the four remaining civilizations.

Vharthorin the King of Deamons rules the volcanic empire of Roh'Tone.

Perfect Aesmier rules the steamwork city of Everen.

Lady Frehaal the White Elm leads the subterranean empire of Shalloden.

And King Khardraas leads the unified colonies of Krose.

Each is a being of immense power, and those who serve them have been said to be able to channel their power.

When magic died, and the planes merged, the rules of existence changed. Now demons and celestial live among men. Hellborn are not by default evil, simple another species trying to survive in the wasteland. Angels have lost their calling, and now live empty lives seeking truth. There are no longer “Savage Races” and “Civilized Races.” Every living thing lives in a community, save for the beasts of the Ghostlands, and that is why they survive. There are also horrible destructive warriors who live in the Ghostlands called “Sweepers.” They serve an eternal wyrm that lives below the surface called “The Great Maw.” Their only goal is to destroy, eat, and sacrifice as much life as possible. There is also a group known as “The Order of Eternity” who don't serve the God Kings. They live near the earth scar and believe the Gods are still alive. They are feared by many, for their martial skills and zeal combined are quite dangerous.

It is a dark and terrible world, and those still living must fight every day to hold their lands, survive the trials of the Ghostlands, and survive a dark and terrible power that seems to want nothing but their extinction called “The Fayne.”

Playable classes (and what they are called)
Bard (Weavers)
Barbarian (Berzerker)
Fighter (Guardian. No Eldritch Knight)
Monk (Martial Artist)
Paladin (Oathsworn. They are going to VERY modified. Don't plan on a bunch of spells and healing, but still awesome)
Ranger (Wilder)
Rogue (Jacks. No arcane trickster)
Warlock (Channelers) (Warlocks will have unique patrons to chose from (the God Kings), but must follow the pact of the blade or the chain.)

Each player starts with a random physical or mental mutation.

Ignore backgrounds from the book. Everything will be custom on a 1 on 1 basis as we design your characters. There will be things like Psionics, Demon Magic, Fire Arms, Explosives, and other strange shit. You will learn as the game goes on. Bear with me, and let me help explain the world in order to design the character you want to make. Stuff with the classes will probably change a bit too. Healing spells are VERY rare, and most Arcane magic is either wielded by the God Kings, or ancient artifacts. I'm excited to move forward with this.
